In 2020 CI.T.T.À DOLCI presents seven theatre and music appointments from August 23rd to October 18th.

Friday, September 11th at 9:00 pm Palazzo Francesconi in Provaglio d’Iseo will host the play Super Spicy Market.

The show tells the story of the meeting of four women with different origins, cultures and political opinions, in a supermarket where one of them works and the three others are shopping. The supermarket is part of a chain specializing in the sale of culinary products of Middle Eastern culture. When, following a black-out caused by a power cut, one of the customers finds herself without a wallet in her bag, the cashier decides to close the women inside the shop to resolve the matter between them. Thus begins a game of interrogations, searches and testimonies that will lead women to interact, get to know each other and expose their weaknesses.

What can happen if many mute realities find themselves face to face in an apolitical, neutral, frank place like a supermarket? How do our women react when they have to defend their position in a situation where everyone is guilty until proven guilty? How do they act in the face of a situation that could lead them to a conflict that is echoed in the social dynamics outside the supermarket? Is conflict really the only consequence of cultural encounters/clashes?
