Agriturismo Solive
The Tenute Bariselli farm in Torbiato di Adro, is in the heart of Franciacorta, a beautiful and generous land. Here, the vocation to land and to the most genuine valours has been a tradition for over two centuries.
The Bariselli holding extends over an area of 30 hectares, in two separate zones covering the municipalities of Torbiato di Adro and Cortefranca. The morainic hills of lake Sebino, which descend gently towards the Padana plains, are sun-kissed, irrigated by the nearby lake and protected by the arc of the Alps. As such they are especially suited to the cultivation of grapevines and olive trees. 28 hectares have today been taken over for the following varieties of vine: Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Nero, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Nebbiolo and Merlot.
The rest of the land is being used to make hay as food for farming and for the vegetable garden and fruit trees -apples, pears, walnuts, plums, cherries, kaki – and for use by the family and for Solive’s ‘farm holidays’.
2000 olives were planted along the access paths and the raised borders around the fields.
All the cows meat, pig meat and salamis used by the Solive’s farm holidays come from the Bariselli farmstead, where the following are periodically butchered: – goats, kid goats, lambs, rabbits and free-range animals from the courtyard: chickens, hens, guinea fowl and ducks. There is a thorough selection of indigenous races and the animals are reared respecting traditional methods, all healthy and natural. At Bariselli’s there is a real culture of meat that has resisted in time and still maintains its integrity today.
