Az. Agricola Galì
The Galì oil produced in the countryside of Marone, along Lake Iseo, is a superior category oil obtained directly from olives, solely through mechanical processes. Since the time of the Egyptians, olive oil has been considered as a fundamental and irreplaceable food in the Mediterranean diet, a medicine and a cosmetic with multiple properties.
Hippocrates, an ancient Greek physician, founder of medicine, recommended using fresh olives to treat mental illnesses and applying macerated olive compresses for the treatment of various skin diseases.
In ancient Rome, massages with olive oil were considered a real “youth bath”.
In recent years it has been shown that olive oil has a composition in fats (triglycerides) very similar to the skin’s sebum and, among the natural lipids, it is the one with the greatest affinity with the lipid layer of the skin.
