Light is Life Festa delle Luci A2A, after the events of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023, illuminates Monte Isola on Lake Iseo.

From Saturday 8th to Sunday 23rd July the island returns as a protagonist of international contemporary art thanks to the “Third Paradise of Energy” inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto and the dancers of Angelo Bonello.

The event will be inaugurated on July 8th at 9 pm on the lakeside of Peschiera Maraglion, while on of July 9th at 11 am there will be a rowing event: the rowing of the “Terzo Paradiso”.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

To reach Monte Isola it is advisable to park in Iseo and take the free shuttle bus to Sulzano, leaving from the Sassabanek car park, located on the provincial road to Rovato.

It is also possible to park in Sale Marasino and take the ferry to the locality Carzano.
From Carzano, there is the line bus service to the locality Peschiera Maraglio (2€ per trip per person).

Please note that the last bus leaves Peschiera Maraglio at 10.05 pm.
If you wish to go back to Carzano after that time, you will have to go on foot.

Especially for this event, the ferries between Peschiera Maraglio and Sulzano will be running until 2 am, and will then continue with the usual “on call” service according to the actual timetable.

On the other hand, the ferry service on the Sale Marasino – Carzano route remains unchanged.

As for the scheduled line service, on the Iseo-Peschiera Maraglio-Sensole route it will be mandatory to book the return trip from Monte Isola after 8 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on 8-9-14-15-16-21-22-23 July.
The routes involved are n. 57, with departure from Peschiera Maraglio at 9.10 pm and from Sensole at 9.20 pm, and n. 59, leaving from Sensole at 10.20 pm and from Peschiera Maraglio at 10.30 pm.
Visitors can make a reservation by purchasing the return ticket online until midnight of the day before the trip, or make a “last minute” reservation at Iseo’s ticket office, which is subject to availability.

It is highly recommended to take the free shuttle bus from Sulzano to Iseo for the return trip, since the last boat from Peschiera Maraglio to Iseo is at 10.30 pm, while the event is available until 1 am.

PLEASE NOTE: on the occasion of the event, a transit ban of all vehicles (including bikes) has been established in the “Le Ere” area in Peschiera Maraglio.

It will therefore be possible to cycle around Monte Isola from Peschiera Maraglio passing through Senzano (“strada alta” / “upper road”) and NOT through Sensole.
