Exhibition “Luigi Ravasio. Le regole dell’astrazione”
From Sunday 21 April 2024 to Sunday 2 June 2024
The exhibition “Luigi Ravasio. The Rules of Abstraction”, set up in the 19th century Museum at the Tadini Academy Gallery in Lovere, from Sunday 21 April to Sunday 2 June 2024, was born from the donation by the artist’s heirs of the “Nastro passante” works of 1976 and “Artigli” of 1983.
Luigi Ravasio (Bergamo, 1930 – Bergamo, 18 April 2018) trained by attending the studio of the sculptor Giovanni Avogadri and later at the Liceo Artistico di Brera where he attended, among others, the courses of Achille Funi and Guido Ballo and graduated in 1954.
In the following years, he did not abandon his activity as a painter: numerous trips in Italy and abroad allowed him to delve deeper into artists such as Mondrian, Calder, Escher and the Russian constructivists, important points of reference for his artistic poetics.
Starting from the Seventies, he began his real artistic and exhibition activity by coming into contact with Primo Licini and Alberto Fumagalli: he exhibited, in fact, on the occasion of the exhibitions promoted by the Cultural Center of Contemporary Art “Il Capricorno” and by the Fumagalli Gallery.
The exhibition will be open at the following times:
– from Tuesday to Saturday: from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm;
– on Sundays and public holidays: from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 19:00.
Entrance fee: € 14,00 (regular ticket), € 10,00 (reduced ticket).
