Majolini
Since the fifteenth century the Maiolini Family exists in Ome, a very panoramic village in the Northeastern border of Franciacorta. The name refers to a native grape called Majolina, or maybe to the pure limestone maiolica that characterizes one of the few hilly areas of Franciacorta.
Born in the 60es thanks to the Valentino Maiolini’s passion , the Majolini Winery was refounded in 1981 by his sons. Today the Winery produce about 150.000 bottles per year of Franciacorta, all aged in bottle for at least 30 months, until 120.
It is a family-owned: Ezio Maiolini and the three cousins Simone, Giovanni and Elena work for it, assisted by a team of 6 young and dynamic collaborators, especially women.
