Excursion to the top of Monte Bronzone starting from the village and meadows of Vigolo.

The path/Der Weg

The route starts from the car park in Bratta, in Vigolo, near a small bridge.

Leave the car, cross the bridge and continue along the asphalt road. Once you reach the first bend, you leave the road and enter a large meadow alongside a ruined house, which you keep on the left. Continue across the meadow, always keeping the lake on your left and, following the path, you enter the woods. After crossing a hunting lodge, continue following the white and red trail signs up to a clearing, with the “Sella del Gombo Alto” ,  a building now used as a refuge and a beautiful view of Lake Iseo, just below the top of the Bronzone. From here you continue along path 701 which, following the left side of the wooded ridge, after a few steep climbs, emerges on the grassy top of Monte Bronzone, where it is traditional to mark your arrival by ringing the bell. The panoramic view on the eastern side ranges from the beautiful meadows of the Vigolo Valley, to Lake Iseo with Monte Isola, the Corna Trentapassi and Monte Guglielmo; and on the western side the hills of San Fermo and the Orobic Prealps.

For the return follows the same route as the outward journey.

DE – Die Route beginnt am Parkplatz in Bratta in Vigolo, in der Nähe einer kleinen Brücke.

Lassen Sie das Auto in Bratta und überqueren Sie die Brücke und gehen Sie weiter auf der Asphaltstraße. Sobald Sie die erste Kurve erreicht haben, verlassen Sie die Straße und betreten eine große Wiese neben einer Hausruine, die Sie auf der linken Seite behalten. Überqueren Sie die Wiese weiter, halten Sie den See immer auf Ihrer linken Seite und folgen Sie dem Weg, bis Sie in den Wald gelangen. Nachdem Sie eine Jagdhütte durchquert haben, folgen Sie den weiß-roten Wegweisern weiter bis zu einer Lichtung, wo sich die „Sella del Gombo Alto“ mit einem Gebäude befindet, das heute als Schutzhütte dient und von dem Sie direkt unterhalb der Spitze einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Iseosee haben die Bronzone.

Von hier aus geht es weiter auf dem Weg 701, der nach einigen steilen Anstiegen auf der linken Seite des bewaldeten Bergrückens zum grasbewachsenen Gipfel des Monte Bronzone führt, wo man seine Ankunft traditionell mit dem Läuten der Glocke markiert. Der Panoramablick auf der Ostseite reicht von den wunderschönen Wiesen des Vigolo-Tals bis zum Iseosee mit dem Monte Isola, der Corna Trentapassi und dem Monte Guglielmo. und auf der Westseite die Hügel von San Fermo und die Orobischen Voralpen.

Die Rückfahrt erfolgt über die gleiche Route wie die Hinfahrt.
