Little Church of San Rocco
This little church was rebuilt in ‘900 and is located in the center of village. It’s dedicated to San Rocco, who meandered in different areas of Italy helping people to heal from plague; when he become hill, his dog helped him with bread and licking his wound. In fact the animal with a piece of bread is part of the statue.
In Parzanica only 2 women died due to the plague, maybe thanks to the isolation and protection of San Rocco, for this reason the resident built a church in his honor.
The little church has a simple façade, daubed in the upper part and with stones in the lower part. The access is in the center with stone profile. Inside there is only one nave.
Saint day: 16 August.
