Honey
The Lake Iseo area is blessed with a rich variety of flora; an ideal setting for beekeeping. The honey is healthy, nutritious and has characteristics that change with the altitude.
Clear coloured acacia honey with its delicate flavor is perfect for children and beneficial to the liver.
Millefiori (wild flower) honey has colours that range from pale yellow to brown. Its scent is delicate and flowery, the taste is sweet and intense. In natural medicine, it is used as an adjuvant for anaemia.
Chestnut honey has a dark-amber colour and its scent is delicate and aromatic. It is intense and slightly bitter. Its high iron content makes it ideal to stimulate blood pressure.
