The trail / der Weg

The route begins in Peschiera Maraglio at the crossroads with Senzano. The road proceeds constantly uphill to the village of Senzano with the small church of San Severino and the view of lower Lake Iseo. The itinerary continues uphill towards the village of Cure, characterized by stone houses and a long tradition linked to the artisanal production of salami. Passing through the built-up area, the paved road gives way to the old, well-maintained mule track which, in a few hairpin bends, leads to the entrance to the Sanctuary. Bikes must be left outside the Sanctuary area. After admiring the panorama, the itinerary retraces the first stretch of mule track towards Cure and then turns right following the signs for Masse and then Olzano. Once in the village of Olzano, turn left and take the road that leads to the village of Siviano. Near the small church of Santa Barbara, turn left and take the panoramic road that leads back to Peschiera Maraglio.

DE – Die Route beginnt in Peschiera Maraglio an der Kreuzung mit Senzano. Die Straße führt stetig bergauf bis zum Dorf Senzano mit der kleinen Kirche San Severino und dem Blick auf den unteren Iseosee. Die Route führt weiter bergauf zum Dorf Cure, das von Steinhäusern und einer langen Tradition der handwerklichen Herstellung von Salami geprägt ist. Die asphaltierte Straße führt durch die Ortschaft und geht in den alten, gut ausgebauten Saumpfad über, der in einigen Serpentinen zum Eingang der Wallfahrtskirche führt. Fahrräder müssen außerhalb des Schutzgebietes abgestellt werden. Nachdem man das Panorama bewundert hat, folgt die Route dem ersten Abschnitt des Saumpfads in Richtung Cure und biegt dann rechts ab und folgt den Schildern nach Masse und dann nach Olzano. Wenn man im Dorf Olzano angekommen ist, biegt man links ab und nimmt die Straße, die zum Dorf Siviano führt. In der Nähe der Kirche Santa Barbara biegt man links ab und nimmt die Panoramastraße, die zurück nach Peschiera Maraglio führt.

Follow the signs to Iseo and then continue on the coastal road in the direction of Sulzano and Sale Marasino. Scheduled navigation service between Sulzano – Monte Isola Peschiera Maraglio (every 15 minutes) and Sale Marasino – Monte Isola Carzano (every 20 minutes).
Monte Isola is reachable only by public means of transport.

DE – Man folgt der Beschilderung nach Iseo und fährt dann weiter auf der Küstenstraße in Richtung Sulzano und Sale Marasino. Fähre zwischen Sulzano – Monte Isola Peschiera Maraglio (alle 15 Minuten) und Sale Marasino – Monte Isola Carzano (alle 20 Minuten).
Monte Isola ist nur mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar.
