Nordic walking – ”D’Ast” route

The first route to receive national conformity certification from the Italian School of Nordic Walking in the Bergamo province was inaugurated at Bossico in May 2014.

There are two circular routes, “Sette Colli” (Seven Hills) and “d’Ast”, of approximately 6 and 8 km plus an alternate route of 2.5 km leading to 1250 m. above sea level where the panorama is truly breathtaking.

The “d’Ast” route begins on level ground on a dirt track for 1 km, and afterwards rises amidst meadows and woods, going past glades, lakes, and picnic areas. Halfway through the circular route, an alternate route begins that is 2.5 km long starting at 1030 m. and reaching 1290 m.: a constant climb on a regular paved or dirt track that leads to a large plateau with a spectacular view offering glimpses of the glittering Po River and the Apennines on clear days.
