There are few climbs in the world of professional cycling that conjure up such passion. Every serious cyclist must once in their life ride montecampione. The mythical climb was written into folk law in 1998  by Pantani when he won the 19^th stage. The 20 km (at 7.5%) climb is not for the faint-hearted, but rewards those who reach the top with breathtaking views and a chance to take the obligatory photo next to cycling’s most beautiful statue.
