The project/Das Projekt

Borgonato’s “Big Bench” is a giant golden bench located inside the Berlucchi family’s property. It offers a wonderful view of Franciacorta and the vineyards.

The activities of the “Big Bench Community Project” (BBCP) – of an exclusive non-profit nature – provide both technical support to those who want to build a new official Big Bench, and collaboration with the excellence of local craftsmanship to create products inspired by them, which can give a little contribution to the local economy and tourism, in the sign of the positive spirit that the Large Benches bring to this area. A part of the proceeds of each sale, such as donations made by those who build a new bench, is donated to the municipalities involved and destined to support local communities.

DE – Die „Big Bench“ in Borgonato ist eine riesige goldene Bank und befindet sich auf dem Anwesen der Familie Berlucchi. Von der Bank aus hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf Franciacorta und die Weinberge.

The Path/Der Weg

The walk starts from the Berlucchi winery, leaving the Parish Church of San Vitale behind. Go alongside the cellar and turn left onto Via Ignazio Berlucchi along the dirt road. The route continues through the buildings of the historic wine cellar and in the vineyards. At the end of the surrounding wall, keep left following the signs until you reach the hill with the golden bench from which you can admire the Franciacorta vineyards.

DE – Die Wanderung beginnt am Weingut Berlucchi und lässt die Pfarrkirche San Vitale hinter sich. Gehen Sie am Keller entlang und biegen Sie links auf die unbefestigte Straße in die Via Ignazio Berlucchi ein. Die Route führt weiter durch die Gebäude des historischen Weinkellers bis hin zum Eintauchen in die Weinberge. Am Ende der Umfassungsmauer halten Sie sich links und folgen den Schildern, bis Sie den Hügel mit der goldenen Bank erreichen, von dem aus Sie die Weinberge der Franciacorta bewundern können.

Follow the signs for Borgonato di Corte Franca and continue until you reach the Cantina F.lli Berlucchi and the Parish Church of San Vitale.
