Easy itinerary that leads to the top of Monte Alto, the mountain that dominates Franciacorta and lower Lake Iseo.

DE – Einfache Route, die zur Entdeckung des Monte Alto führt, dem Vorgebirge, das Franciacorta und den unteren Iseosee dominiert.

The trail / der Weg

The route starts from via Gorizia in Paratico. Once you reach the traffic lights, cross the road and continue straight on via Biancana; the initially asphalted road becomes dirt and after a farm it turns right uphill. After passing the barrier necessary to prevent motorized vehicles from entering, continue uphill to the Alpini di Capriolo Church, which you leave on the right to continue along the dirt road between the huts on the left. The mule track runs along the ridge and then enters the woods. At the crossroads, continue straight next to a large tree adorned with a small votive shrine. The mule track with a dirt surface and at times on clay continues passing next to a cave, the “Bus della Laga”  and arrives at “Lo Stallone” in Adro, with a stone farmhouse and meadows and a picnic area. Following the directions, keep left and in a few minutes you reach the top of Monte Alto from which you can admire the Franciacorta area, the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve and, continuing a few meters after the flag, also Lake Iseo.

The route has no signs on the way, therefore it is advisable to use and follow the path as shown.

DE – Die Route beginnt in der Via Gorizia in Paratico. Sobald man die Ampel erreicht hat, überquert man die Straße und geht geradeaus auf Via Biancana. Die zunächst asphaltierte Straße wird unbefestigt und nach einem Bauernhof geht es rechts bergauf. Nachdem man die Schranke passiert hat, die das Eindringen motorisierter Fahrzeuge verhindern soll, geht es weiter bergauf bis zur Kirche Alpini di Capriolo, die man auf der rechten Seite verlässt, um auf der unbefestigten Straße zwischen den Hütten auf der linken Seite weiterzumachen. Der Saumpfad verläuft entlang des Bergrückens und führt dann in den Wald. An der Kreuzung geht man geradeaus weiter an einem großen Baum vorbei, der mit einem kleinen Votivschrein geschmückt ist. Der Saumpfad mit unbefestigter Oberfläche und zeitweise unbefestigtem Untergrund verläuft weiter, vorbei an einer Höhle, dem „Bus della Laga“, wo speläologische Aktivitäten durchgeführt werden, und erreicht „Lo Stallone“ in Adro mit einem Bauernhaus aus Stein, Wiesen und einem Picknickplatz. Man folgt den Anweisungen, hält sich sich links und erreicht in wenigen Minuten den Gipfel des Monte Alto, von dem aus man das Franciacorta-Gebiet, das Naturschutzgebiet Torbiere del Sebino und, einige Meter nach der Flagge, auch den Iseosee bewundern kann.

Die Route ist nicht ausgeschildert, daher empfiehlt es sich, den hier gezeigten Weg zu nutzen und ihm zu folgen.
