Itinerary with a view of Lake Iseo, to discover the five peaks in the Parzanica’s mountains: Monte Creò, Punta del Bert, Monte Mandolino, Monte Cremona and Saresano.

The trail / der Weg

Leaving the Via Valle car park behind you, you need to head right along Via Belvedere: after 200 meters you will have to take the CAI 721 path which branches off to the left, first paved and then dirt, which with a fairly steep climb allows to reach in about half an hour the panoramic Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity at an altitude of 969 m. The Sanctuary has medieval origins and has a hermitage next to it which in ancient times welcomed the custodian of the church and guaranteed hospitality to pilgrims. The sanctuary represents an exceptional panoramic point over the Upper Lake Iseo: it is in fact possible to admire, on clear days, all the highest peaks of the Camonica Valley, the Orobie and the Presolana. Furthermore, the Corna Trentapassi and Monte Guglielmo stand out in all their grandeur and beauty. Take the path again, which soon leads to the wide grassy ridge of the Cinque Colli. At this point, it is possible to deviate to the right, passing a private property, to reach the top of Monte Creò (1106 m), unfortunately defaced by some antennas.

Retracing your steps, begin to walk along the comfortable and panoramic ridge on a wide dirt road, admiring Monte Bronzone with its classic pyramid shape, and the Colli di San Fermo, on the right. The path becomes a track, and it is best to follow the sparse white-red signs, at a certain point going along a fairly steep grassy path that allows us to go around the wooded peak of Punta del Bert (1105m). The track now bends to the left and takes you back to the wide ridge, offering splendid views of Monte Isola.

At this point you continue on the slopes of Monte Mandolino (1108m), which rises on the left, and enter a relaxing spruce forest, where it is quite common to spot some squirrels. At a certain point it is necessary to overcome the opening of a fence, which allows you to continue into the fir forest until you reach the Col de Rone saddle. You can therefore choose whether to continue along the ridge climbing up to the top of Monte Cremona (1078 m) passing some private properties, or go around the top keeping to the right on the official path, until you reach Cascina Saresano, whose privileged position allows you to admire the last splendid panorama.

You then continue towards Monte Saresano (962 m): the top of this last hill is thickly tree-lined, and it is therefore necessary to go around it, keeping to the path which, bending sharply to the left, allows you to return to Parzanica in less than an hour through the forest, concluding the ring.

DE – Nachdem man den Parkplatz der Via Valle hinter sich gelassen hat, muss man rechts auf der Via Belvedere weitergehen: Nach 200 Metern muss man den Weg CAI 721 nehmen, der nach links abzweigt, zuerst asphaltiert und dann unbefestigt, der recht steil bergauf führt. Man erreicht in etwa einer halben Stunde das Panorama-Heiligtum der Heiligen Dreifaltigkeit auf einer Höhe von 969 m. Das Heiligtum hat mittelalterliche Ursprünge und verfügt über eine Einsiedelei, die in der Antike den Hüter der Kirche beherbergte und jedem Reisenden Gastfreundschaft garantierte. Das Heiligtum stellt einen außergewöhnlichen Aussichtspunkt über den gesamten oberen Iseosee dar: An klaren Tagen ist es tatsächlich möglich, alle höchsten Gipfel des Camonica-Tals, den Orobie und den Presolana, zu bewundern. Darüber hinaus stechen die Corna Trentapassi und der Monte Guglielmo in all ihrer Erhabenheit und Schönheit hervor. Man nimmt erneut den Weg, der bald zum breiten Grasrücken der Cinque Colli führt. An dieser Stelle ist es möglich, nach rechts abzubiegen und an einem Privatgrundstück vorbei den Gipfel des Monte Creò (1106 m) zu erreichen, der leider durch einige Antennen verunstaltet ist.

Wenn man Ihre Schritte zurückverfolgt, wandert man auf einem breiten Feldweg bequem und mit Panoramablick über den Bergrücken und bewundert dabei den Monte Bronzone mit seiner klassischen Pyramidenform und die Colli di San Fermo auf der rechten Seite. Der Weg wird zu einem Wanderweg, und es ist am besten, den spärlichen weiß-roten Hinweisschildern des CAI zu folgen und an einer bestimmten Stelle einen ziemlich steilen Grasweg entlangzugehen, der es uns ermöglicht, den bewaldeten Gipfel der Punta del Bert (1105 m) zu umrunden. Der Weg biegt nun nach links ab und führt zurück zum breiten Grat, der herrliche Ausblicke auf den Monte Isola bietet.

An diesem Punkt geht es weiter an den Hängen des Monte Mandolino (1108 m), der sich auf der linken Seite erhebt, und gelangt in einen entspannenden Fichtenwald, wo man häufig Rehe oder Eichhörnchen beobachten kann. An einem bestimmten Punkt ist es notwendig, die Öffnung eines Zauns zu überwinden, der es ermöglicht, weiter in den Tannenwald hineinzugehen, bis man den Col de Rone-Sattel erreicht. Man kann also wählen, ob man weiter über den Bergrücken bis zum Gipfel des Monte Cremona (1078 m) an einigen Privatgrundstücken hinaufsteigen möchte oder den Gipfel umrunden, und dabei rechts auf dem offiziellen Weg bleiben, bis man Cascina Saresano erreicht, deren privilegierte Lage ermöglicht es, das letzte herrliche Panorama zu bewundern.

Anschließend geht es weiter in Richtung Monte Saresano (962 m): Die Spitze dieses letzten Hügels ist dicht von Bäumen gesäumt, daher ist es notwendig, ihn zu umrunden und dabei auf dem Weg zu bleiben, der mit einer scharfen Linkskurve den Rückweg ermöglicht Parzanica in weniger als einer Stunde durch den Wald, Abschluss des Rings.

Follow the signs for Lake Iseo and take the SP 469 up to Tavernola Bergamasca.

Near the cement factory, take the new road that goes up to Parzanica.

Parking spaces are present in Via Valle.
