The trail / der Weg

Take the provincial road for Vigolo for 100 m. from the parish church of Tavernola. Climb a short stairway on the left which leads to the cobbled paving onto which the route continues. For about half its length, the path follows the historic cobblestone road between Tavernola and Vigolo which used to be one of the main accesses to the Rino Valley and its cultivated terraces. After the Ughel bridge where the path leaves the road, well-kept meadows alternate with tree-fringed torrential streams, creating a rural landscape of exceptional aesthetic value. After walking downhill on the Bianica municipal road for about 300 m., the route ends at the Madonna di Cortinica.

DE – Von Tavernolas Pfarrkirche begeht man die Landstraße nach Vigolo für 100 m. Man geht dann nach links auf eine kurze Leiter, die zu dem Kopfsteinpflaster führt, auf dem der Weg weitergeht. Auf etwa der Hälfte seiner Länge markiert der Weg die historische Kopfsteinpflasterstraße zwischen Tavernola und Vigolo, die damals einer der Haupteingänge des Rino-Tals und seiner gepflegten Terrassen war. Nach der Ughel-Brücke, wo der Weg die Straße verlässt, wird man eine wunderschöne Landschaft finden, mit regelmäßigem Wechsel von noch gepflegten Wiesen und Bäumen. Nachdem man der Stadtstraße Bianica etwa 300 m abgestiegen ist, endet die Route am Heiligtum Madonna di Cortinica.

How to arrive and where to park / Anreise und Parkplätze

Follow the indications for Lake Iseo and then Sarnico or Lovere, depending on where you are coming from. Take the SP 469 until you reach Tavernola Bergamasca.

DE – Man folgt den Schildern zum Iseosee und dann nach Sarnico oder Lovere (es kommt darauf an, woher man kommt). Man nimmt die SP 469 bis nach Tavernola.
