Museum of Contemporary Art in Franciacorta Remo Bianco

Located in Villa Baiana and the adjacent La Montina winery is the Museum of Contemporary Art in Franciacorta Remo Bianco.

In the museum, which has been open to the public since September 2004, about one hundred of the 400 works of Remo Bianco (Dergano, Milan 1922 – Milan 1988) are exhibited, at a time. The artist was a major exponent of Italian art between the 1950s and 1970s.

These works form the basis of the collection and trace the artistic path followed by the artist from his figurative to his abstract period in the late 1940s, up to the influences of the MAC group, of spatialism and of nuclear painting.

The Museum also has an area dedicated to contemporary art, designed to host temporary exhibitions, book presentations and various events.

The estate is also home to the Historical and Photographic Library of the Remo Bianco Association.

The museum can be visited by appointment at the end of the guided tour of the cellar: mail.
