The trail / der Weg

The ride starts from the tourist office of Bossico’s Pro Loco in Via Giardini, going in the direction of Via IV Novembre up to a shrine, where you take the path to the right and then, all uphill, you reach Via Sette Colli, in the upper part of the village, up to a large parking lot.

Continuing on the paved road, between grassy slopes and woods, the ride takes you to a farmhouse. Turn left and continue until you take the road “dei Cavalli” which leads to Onito, where it is advisable to stop for the wonderful lake view.

From there, the uphill road through the woods leads to Colle San Fermo, where there is a large shed with tables and benches, a small church dedicated to San Fermo and a pond. During the summer, a refreshment point can be found.

The route continues towards “Loc. Vetra” with a spectacular view of the lake and then downhill to the small fountain “Fontana Fredda”, passing next to the “Casì de la pest”, where it is said some inhabitants of Bossico took refuge to escape the plague.

Continuing towards the village of Ceratello and then taking the panoramic road “Bossico/Ceratello” you will see the first houses of Bossico. Take the path towards Lovere and then go up the cobbled road until you cross the paved road SP54, which takes you back to Bossico and then to the starting point.

DE – Die Route beginnt am Touristen Information des Pro Loco di Bossico in Via Giardini, geht in Richtung Via IV Novembre bis zu einem Heiligtum, wo man den Weg nach rechts nimmt und dann ganz bergauf die Via Sette Colli erreicht, im oberen Teil des Dorfes, bis zu einem großen Parkplatz.

Weiter auf der asphaltierten Straße, zwischen grasbewachsenen Hängen und Wäldern, führt die Fahrt zu einem Bauernhaus. Man biegt links ab und fährt weiter, bis man die Straße “dei Cavalli” nimmt, die nach Onito führt, wo es ratsam ist, wegen des herrlichen Seeblicks anzuhalten.

Von dort führt die ansteigende Straße durch den Wald zum Colle San Fermo, wo sich eine große Hütte mit Tischen und Bänken, eine kleine San Fermo geweihte Kirche und ein Pfütze befinden. Im Sommer ist ein Erfrischungspunkt geöffnet.

Die Route führt weiter in Richtung „Loc. Vetra“ mit einem spektakulären Blick auf den See und dann bergab zum kleinen Brunnen „Fontana Fredda“, vorbei am „Casì de la pest“, wo angeblich einige Einwohner von Bossico Zuflucht suchten, um der Pest zu entkommen.

Weiter in Richtung des Dorfes Ceratello und dann auf der Panoramastraße “Bossico/Ceratello” erreicht man die ersten Häuser von Bossico. Man nimmt den Weg in Richtung Lovere und geht dann die Kopfsteinpflasterstraße hinauf, bis man die asphaltierte Straße SP54 kreuzt, die man zurück nach Bossico und dann zum Ausgangspunkt führt.

How to arrive and where to park / Anreise und Parkplätze

Follow the signs for Lake Iseo and follow for Lovere. Take the SP 53 of Valle Borlezza and continue following the signs for Bossico.

DE – Man folgt der Beschilderung zum Iseosee und weiter nach Lovere. Man nimmt die SP 53 von Valle Borlezza und folgt weiter den Schildern nach Bossico.
