The cycle-pedestrian path between Vello and Toline has been reopened only in the part located in the Municipality of Pisogne.
The part located in the Municipality of Marone remains CLOSED until further notice due to safety works.
It is therefore NOT possible to complete the tour of the lake by bike, in the absence of an alternative route.

Pleasant itinerary to discover the lake that alternates stretches of cycle path with driveway.

The route begins in Iseo and continues south towards Clusane, a characteristic fishing village. Staying on the cycle path, you arrive in Paratico and cross the bridge that leads to the lakefront and to the historic centre of Sarnico. Continuing to the right, in the direction of Predore, the itinerary, which takes place for some sections on a cycle path and for others on the road, reaches the first tunnel and arrives at Tavernola Bergamasca. Here the coast becomes wilder and a second tunnel allows visitors to reach Riva di Solto. Leaving the town, along the road to Castro, one can witness the suggestive spectacle of the Orrido del Bögn: vertical rocks overhanging the lake. A few kilometers, always by road, lead to Lovere, the last town on the Bergamo side and one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Continuing on the coastal road you reach Pisogne, an ancient medieval village. The church of Santa Maria della Neve is worth a visit, with its extraordinary frescoes by Romanino. Leaving the town, arriving in Toline, follow the suggestive cycle-pedestrian path on the lake to Vello di Marone. A slight climb takes you back to the cycle path that crosses the towns of Marone and Sale Marasino and then stops at Sulzano. Along the way, on the right, in addition to Monte Isola, it is possible to admire the small islands of Loreto and San Paolo. At the level crossing, you will find the cycle path. After a few kilometres you reach again Iseo, where the tour ends. The historic centre with its characteristic alleys, squares and the lakefront invites to stop for a relaxing break.

DE – Angenehme Route, um den See zu entdecken, der Radwege und Straßen abwechselt.

Die Route beginnt in Iseo und führt weiter nach Süden in Richtung Clusane, einem charakteristischen Fischerdorf. Auf dem Radweg bleibend, erreicht man Paratico und überquert die Brücke, die zum Seeufer und zum historischen Zentrum von Sarnico führt. Rechts weiter in Richtung Predore führt die Strecke, die teilweise auf einem Radweg und teilweise auf der Straße verläuft, zum ersten Tunnel und erreicht Tavernola Bergamasca. Hier wird die Küste wilder und über einen zweiten Tunnel gelangt man nach Riva di Solto. Wenn man die Stadt verlässt, entlang der Straße nach Castro, sieht man das eindrucksvolle Schauspiel des Orrido del Bögn: senkrechte Felsen, die den See überhängen. Durch eine kurze Fahrt, immer auf der Straße, erreicht man Lovere, die letzte Stadt auf der Bergamo-Seite und eines der schönsten Dörfer Italiens. Weiter auf der Küstenstraße gibt es Pisogne, ein altes mittelalterliches Dorf. Sehenswert ist die Kirche Santa Maria della Neve mit außergewöhnlichen Fresken von Romanino. Am Ortsausgang in Toline angekommen, folgt man dem eindrucksvollen Radweg am See bis nach Vello di Marone. Ein leichter Anstieg führt man zurück zum Radweg, der die Orte Marone und Sale Marasino durchquert und dann in Sulzano endet. Auf der rechten Seite kann man neben dem Monte Isola auch die kleinen Inseln Loreto und San Paolo bewundern. Am Bahnübergang findet man den Radweg wieder. Nach wenigen Kilometern erreicht man Iseo, wo die Tour endet. Der historische Ortskern mit seinen charakteristischen Gassen, Plätzen und der Seepromenade lädt zu einem gemütlichen Einkehrschwung ein.

How to arrive and where to park / Anreise und Parkplätze

From Brescia: take the SP 510 and follow the signs for Lago d’Iseo / Iseo.

From Bergamo: take the A4 motorway towards Venice and exit at Palazzolo sull’Oglio. From the motorway exit it is necessary to follow the signs for Lago d’Iseo / Iseo first on the SP 469 and then on the SP 12.

DE – Von Brescia: Man nimmt die SP 510 und folgt der Beschilderung nach Lago d’Iseo / Iseo.
Von Bergamo: Man nimmt die Autobahn A4 in Richtung Venedig und fährt bei Palazzolo sull’Oglio ab. Von der Autobahnmautstelle ist es notwendig, der Beschilderung Lago d’Iseo / Iseo zuerst auf der SP 469 und dann auf der SP 12 zu folgen.
