• In July and September: on public holidays only, starting from Sunday 14th July 2024
• In August: on Public holidays and days before holidays

DE – Ab dem 14. Juli 2024 ist die Landung mit Fahrrädern und E-Scootern, die von außerhalb des Gebiets der Gemeinde Monte Isola kommen, an folgenden Tagen verboten:
• Im Juli und September: nur an Feiertagen, ab Sonntag, 14. Juli 2024
• Im August: an Feiertagen und Tagen vor Feiertagen

Pleasant itinerary to discover the lake that alternates stretches of cycle path with driveway.

The route begins in Iseo and continues south towards Clusane, a characteristic fishing village, following the brown signs towards “Po”. Staying on the cycle path, you arrive in Paratico and cross the bridge that leads to the lakefront and to the historic centre of Sarnico. Continuing to the right in the direction of Predore, mostly on a cycle path, till the first tunnel that leads to  Tavernola Bergamasca. Proceed along the main road SS469, here the coast becomes wilder and a second tunnel allows visitors to reach the village of Riva di Solto. Leaving the town, along the road to Castro, one can witness the suggestive spectacle of the Orrido del Bögn: vertical rocks overhanging the lake. A few kilometers, always by road, lead to Lovere, the last town on the Bergamo side and one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. At the end of the centre, keep the right to the Camper area and cycle towards the river Oglio and cross the new cycle – pedestrian bridge “Ponte della pace”. Once at the cemetery follow the path to the main road and continue on the cycle path to the medieval village of Pisogne, where the church of Santa Maria della Neve is worth a visit, with its extraordinary frescoes by Romanino.
Leaving the town, arriving in Toline, follow the suggestive cycle-pedestrian path on the lake to Vello di Marone. A slight climb takes you back to the cycle path that crosses the towns of Marone and Sale Marasino and then stops at Sulzano. Along the way, on the right, in addition to Monte Isola, it is possible to admire the small islands of Loreto and San Paolo. After the level crossing between Sulzano and Pilzone d’Iseo, you will find the cycle path following the signs to “Po”. After a few kilometres you reach again Iseo, where the tour ends, with its historic centre with characteristic alleys, squares and the lakefront, ideal for a relaxing break.

DE – Angenehme Route, um den See zu entdecken, der Radwege und Straßen abwechselt.

Die Route beginnt in Iseo und führt weiter nach Süden mit dem Schildern nach “Po” in Richtung Clusane, einem charakteristischen Fischerdorf. Auf dem Radweg bleibend, erreicht man Paratico und überquert die Brücke, die zum Seeufer und zum historischen Zentrum von Sarnico führt. Rechts weiter in Richtung Predore führt die Strecke auf dem Radweg bis zum ersten Tunnel und erreicht man Tavernola Bergamasca. Hier wird die Küste wilder und über einen zweiten Tunnel gelangt man nach Riva di Solto. Wenn man die Stadt verlässt, entlang der Straße nach Castro, sieht man das eindrucksvolle Schauspiel des Orrido del Bögn: senkrechte Felsen, die den See überhängen. Durch eine kurze Fahrt, immer auf der Straße, erreicht man Lovere, die letzte Stadt auf der Bergamo-Seite und eines der schönsten Dörfer Italiens. An der Grenze zwischen Lovere und Costa Volpino bietet man rechts zum Camperstellplatz und fogt man die Route zum Fluß Oglio und die neue Brücke “Ponte della Pace”. Weiter entlang der Straße, erreicht man Pisogne, ein altes mittelalterliches Dorf. Sehenswert ist die Kirche Santa Maria della Neve mit außergewöhnlichen Fresken von Romanino. Am Ortsausgang in Toline angekommen, folgt man dem eindrucksvollen Radweg am See bis nach Vello di Marone. Ein leichter Anstieg führt man zurück zum Radweg, der die Orte Marone und Sale Marasino durchquert und dann in Sulzano endet. Auf der rechten Seite kann man neben dem Monte Isola auch die kleinen Inseln Loreto und San Paolo bewundern. Am Bahnübergang zwischen Sulzano und Pilzone d’Iseo findet man den Radweg wieder in Richtung “Po”. Nach wenigen Kilometern erreicht man Iseo, wo die Tour endet. Der historische Ortskern mit seinen charakteristischen Gassen, Plätzen und der Seepromenade lädt zu einem gemütlichen Einkehrschwung ein.

How to arrive and where to park / Anreise und Parkplätze

From Brescia: take the SP 510 and follow the signs for Lago d’Iseo / Iseo.

From Bergamo: take the A4 motorway towards Venice and exit at Palazzolo sull’Oglio. From the motorway exit it is necessary to follow the signs for Lago d’Iseo / Iseo first on the SP 469 and then on the SP 12.

DE – Von Brescia: Man nimmt die SP 510 und folgt der Beschilderung nach Lago d’Iseo / Iseo.
Von Bergamo: Man nimmt die Autobahn A4 in Richtung Venedig und fährt bei Palazzolo sull’Oglio ab. Von der Autobahnmautstelle ist es notwendig, der Beschilderung Lago d’Iseo / Iseo zuerst auf der SP 469 und dann auf der SP 12 zu folgen.
