DE – Fahrradroute zur Entdeckung der Franciacorta Region ab dem Dorf Iseo.

The trail / der Weg

Starting from ISEO, walk along Via Colombera, admiring the “Lamette” protected area and the lake on the right, the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve on the left. At the end of the road turn right, then immediately left towards CREMIGNANE; at the end of the slight slope, turn right immediately to reach CLUSANE D’ISEO along the Brescia-Paratico cycle path. Take then the provincial road towards Sarnico and, after the pedestrian traffic light, turn left: the road, uphill, leads to COLOMBARO. When the road forks, take Via Manzoni to the right and continue straight on to the center of the town, after which you will flank a large vineyard on the left. Continue on this road, partly lined with trees, until the village of NIGOLINE is reached and, at the stop sign, turn right towards ADRO, passing the Parish Church. If you want, you can turn right and take a short cobbled road that leads to Palazzo Torri and the Church of S. Eufemia. If, on the other hand, you want to continue along the same path, take a road in the middle of the vineyards. After a few rides there is a descent that leads to the square of the Madonna della Neve Sanctuary. Skirt the school and, at the small roundabout on the left, slightly uphill, follow the signs for ERBUSCO.

Once at the top of a gentle hill, at the intersection turn left and, keeping the right downhill, take the narrow Via Lovera straight. The surroinding vineyards lead to skirt an entrance gate created by the artist Arnaldo Pomodoro. Continue and at the roundabout turn right onto the provincial road, where you will cycle for 200 meters.

After passing some commercial activities on the left, take the road to CALINO. Continuing straight ahead, arriving at the Monument of the Fallen, turn left following the road sign indicating “Valli” and Via Torre. After the descent and the level crossing, turn left. After a short climb, you will arrive in BETTOLINO di MONTEROTONDO and, at the stop sign, turn left following the signs for Provaglio d’Iseo and the provincial road 49. Continue straight for 700 meters and then turn left into Via Cimitero. At the bottom of the descent, after the level crossing, you will reach BORGONATO. Continue, turn right into Via Dosso downhill, and, at the roundabout, turn left towards NIGOLINE.

After the artisan area, at the roundabout turn right, skirting the boundary wall of Villa Panciera-Zoppola on the right, and then take straight Via Grumi. Follow the signs for Timoline-Centro Sportivo. At the stop sign turn left, continue along Via Dalla Chiesa, pass the water park on our right and, at the next stop, face a long straight road that takes towards the center of TIMOLINE. When you reach a large roundabout, you will see the Parish Church in front of you, and take the road to PROVAGLIO D’ISEO, lined with vineyards. Before the level crossing turn left to enter the Brescia-Paratico cycle path, which runs along the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve (2 km of dirt road). Follow the road keeping the shopping center on the left; arrived at the provincial stop 11, cross it and, after a slight climb, you will reach CREMIGNANE. Retrace the road taken at the beginning (Via Colombera) for a few kilometers to return to the starting point, after travelling about 30 km.

DE – Von ISEO aus geht man die Via Colombera entlang und bewundert rechts die “Lamette” und den See, links das Torbiere del Sebino Naturschutzgebiet. Am Ende der Straße biegt man rechts ab, dann gleich wieder links in Richtung CREMIGNANE; Am Ende der leichten Steigung biegt man sofort rechts ab und erreicht CLUSANE D’ISEO auf dem Radweg Brescia-Paratico. Man nimmt die Provinzstraße in Richtung Sarnico und biegt nach der Fußgängerampel links ab: Die Straße führt bergauf nach COLOMBARO. Wenn sich die Straße gabelt, biegt man rechts in die Via Manzoni ein und fährt geradeaus bis ins Stadtzentrum, wo man links einen großen Weinberg flankiert. Auf dieser teilweise von Bäumen gesäumten Straße fährt man weiter, bis man NIGOLINE erreicht und am Stoppschild rechts in Richtung ADRO abbiegt, vorbei an der Pfarrkirche. Wenn man will, kann man rechts abbiegen und eine kurze Kopfsteinpflasterstraße nehmen, die zum Palazzo Torri und der Kirche S. Eufemia führt. Wenn man hingegen unseren Weg weitergeht, nimmt man eine Straße mitten in den Weinbergen. Nach einigen Fahrten findt man einen Abstieg, der zum Platz der Wallfahrtskirche Madonna della Neve führt. Man um die Schule herum und folgt am kleinen Kreisverkehr links leicht bergauf den Schildern nach ERBUSCO.

Oben auf einem sanften Hügel angekommen, biegt man an der Kreuzung links ab und hält sich rechts bergab und nimmt die schmale Via Lovera geradeaus. Die Weinberge, führen an einem vom Künstler Arnaldo Pomodoro geschaffenen Eingangstor vorbei. Man fährt weiter und biegt am Kreisverkehr rechts auf die Provinzstraße ab, die man 200 Meter lang fahren wird.

Nachdem man auf der linken Seite einige Gewerbebetriebe passiert hat, nimmt man die Straße nach CALINO. Wenn man geradeaus weiterfährt, erreicht man das Denkmal der Gefallenen und biegt dann links ab und folgt dem Straßenschild mit der Aufschrift „Valli“ und Via Torre. Nach dem Abstieg und dem Bahnübergang biegt man links ab. Nach einem kurzen Anstieg erreicht man BETTOLINO di MONTEROTONDO und am Stoppschild biegt man links ab und folgt den Schildern nach Provaglio d’Iseo und der Provinzstraße 49. Man fährt 700 Meter geradeaus und biegt dann links in die Via Cimitero ein. Am Ende des Abstiegs, nach dem Bahnübergang, erreicht man BORGONATO. Man fährt weiter, biegt rechts in die Via Dosso bergab und biegt am Kreisverkehr links in Richtung NIGOLINE ab.

Nach dem Handwerkerviertel biegt man am Kreisverkehr rechts ab, geht rechts an der Begrenzungsmauer der Villa Panciera-Zoppola vorbei und fährt dann geradeaus in die Via Grumi. Man folgt den Schildern nach Timoline-Centro Sportivo. Am Stoppschild biegt man links ab, fährt  weiter auf der Via Dalla Chiesa, passiert den Wasserpark und, an der nächsten Haltestelle, steht man vor einer langen Geraden, die man in Richtung Zentrum von TIMOLINE führt. Als man einen großen Kreisverkehr erreicht, sieht man die Pfarrkirche und nimmt die Straße nach PROVAGLIO D’ISEO, gesäumt von Weinbergen. Vor dem Bahnübergang biegt man links ab, um auf den Radweg Brescia-Paratico zu gelangen, der entlang des Naturschutzgebiets Torbiere del Sebino verläuft (2 km Schotterweg). Man folgt der Straße und hält das Einkaufszentrum links; An der Provinzhaltestelle 11 angekommen, überquert man diese und erreicht nach einem leichten Anstieg CREMIGNANE. Man geht die am Anfang genommene Straße (Via Colombera) einige Kilometer zurück, um nach etwa 30 km zum Ausgangspunkt zurückzukehren.

How to arrive and where to park / Anreise und parkplätze

From Brescia: take the SP 510 and follow the signs for Lago d’Iseo / Iseo.

From Bergamo: take the A4 motorway towards Venice and exit at Palazzolo sull’Oglio. From the motorway tollbooth it is necessary to follow the signs for Lago d’Iseo / Iseo first on the SP 469 and then on the SP 12.

DE – Von Brescia: Man nimmt die SP 510 und folgt der Beschilderung zum Lago d’Iseo / Iseo.

Von Bergamo: Man nimmt die Autobahn A4 in Richtung Venedig und fährt bei Palazzolo sull’Oglio ab. Ab der Autobahnmautstelle muss man zuerst auf der SP 469 und dann auf der SP 12 den Schildern zum Lago d’Iseo / Iseo folgen.

The route takes place on paved roads, with the exception of the short stretch in the Torbiere del Sebino Nature Reserve, suitable for any age group.
